Mashal Bilal
Hey, I’m Mashal, a psychotherapist practicing for the past 5 years. I got trained as a mental health counselor at Northwestern University on the Fulbright scholarship. Since then, my client base has ranged from clients in the US, Pakistan, Dubai and Geneva. My clinical experiences have provided me the opportunity to work with client populations across a diverse range of ages, races, genders, sexual identities and socioeconomic statuses. Therapy can be an extremely overwhelming and scary experience for many individuals. It’s not easy to let yourself be vulnerable and trust someone with deeply personal thoughts, experiences, and feelings. While it may take some time to build that connection and trust as it does in any relationship, I promise to provide you with a completely safe, non- judgmental, and calming space where you can fully reflect on your life and deepen your self-awareness to move towards more contentment and peace. I’m extremely proud of you for taking this first step towards improving your mental health. Clinical Interests I work with individuals, couples and families struggling with the following presenting issues: ● Anxiety ● Depression ● Bipolar disorder ● Trauma ● Terminal illness ● Addiction ● Developmental Issues ● Identity Formation ● Family Functioning ● Interpersonal Relationships & Communication Treatment Modalities ● Psychodynamic Talk Therapy ● Emotion- focused Therapy ● Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
