Sana Wasiq
Works with Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults I truly believe that making the decision to seek therapy is a difficult one, a step that I myself was very hesitant to take. Even though the struggle was real, the journey through the process was probably the best one I have ever experienced. My hope for our therapy sessions is to provide an open and collaborative space for us to work together and help you get closer to your therapeutic goals. The sessions will serve as a space for self-exploration, processing emotions, and indulging in thoughtful reflection to gain clarity and work through the client’s internal processes. Therapy Approach: I use an eclectic approach to working with my clients, borrowing tools from different therapeutic models to make it as personalized as possible. Since people often enter the therapeutic process having multiple concerns, having tailor-made interventions helps them work through them more efficiently. Working with different developmental levels, especially with young adults I incline more towards using narrative techniques and a person-centered approach as it helps the client feel empowered and use their internal processes to engage in a healthy dialogue and achieve their goals for therapy. Working with younger clients often involves family therapy, parental counseling, inner child work, and solution-focused approaches making sure that the young child’s confidentiality is not compromised entirely.
